Nigerian Iyabo Masha, the first African to head the G24

Iyabo Masha, a Nigerian national, has been appointed head of the Intergovernmental Group of 24 for International Monetary Affairs and Development. Her appointment on February 24 makes her the first African to hold this position. She will thus succeed outgoing director Marilou Uy, according to a press release published by the organization this Sunday, March 5 in Washington, DC.
