The Central Bank of Tunisia keeps its key rate unchanged at 6.25%
The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) announced on March 30, 2022 that it had decided to keep the key rate unchanged at 6.25%. Decision taken during a meeting held the same day on the latest economic and financial developments. At the national level, the council indicated that it had noted a recovery in economic activity slightly higher than initial projections, i.e. 3.1% (against 2.9% expected) for the whole of 2021 against -8.7% a year before. “This development bears the mark of the recovery in activity in market services and the good performance of the manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors.
