Sygnia withdraws financial director appointment

On Friday Sygnia announced that its recently appointed financial director would no longer be taking up the position.

The group initially announced on 10 February that Carmen le Grange (pictured below) would step into the role from 1 April. Le Grange, a former group chief financial officer at Denel, was due to replace Murad Sirkot, who leaves the company at the end of March.

‘Shareholders are advised that Carmen Le Grange is, for personal
reasons, no longer available to assume the role of financial director of the
Company with effect from 1 April 2023, and Sygnia has consequently
withdrawn her appointment with immediate effect,’ Sygnia announced over the stock exchange news service on 31 March. 

‘The appointment of a new financial director will be announced in due course.’
