ETI prepares to raise 500 million USD in 2023
Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) is preparing to raise funds to the tune of 500 million USD during the year 2023, we learned from the banking group based in Lomé (Togo).
Indeed, this is one of the resolutions to be submitted to the shareholders by the board of directors on May 17 at the general meeting in Lomé. The transaction will be made in the form of senior debt, additional Tier 1 capital (AT1), subordinated debt eligible for Tier 2 capital or a combination of two or all of these forms of instruments.
In addition, it is planned to allocate the company's results for the financial year ended December 31, 2022, as well as the payment of dividends to shareholders registered on the closing date of the share register, set in accordance with the regulations of various stock exchanges on which the company's shares are listed.
